5 Mistakes You're Making When Buying Online

Buying online has become so popular - and we understand why.. Who doesn’t love getting packages delivered? And don’t you love a new dress without having to wandering through the shopping centre for a day finding one you like?
But at the same time - who’s brought the wrong size online? Or received something and it hasn’t been what you pictured? More people are being turned off online shopping because they are making some simple mistakes. Here’s what they are and how to avoid them:

1. You don’t look at the size guide
Most websites will have a size guide if they are selling clothing. Make sure you look at it! Some websites sizing are different to others and they should detail this for you. If you’re a size 8 but they sizing is S/M/L this chart should tell you what you need. Our sizing chart can be found here.

2. You don’t know your own measurements
Some websites will tell you measurements for each size. They will detail a rough bust/waist/hip measurement. But if you don’t know your own measurements this won’t mean much!

3. You don’t do your own research
Now this sounds like hard work but it doesn’t have to be. We all know that brands can be different, some run large and others small. If you know what the brand is, just quickly google ‘the brand + fit’ and see what reviews are. Other people’s reviews will help you determine if the brands runs true to size or not.

4. You don’t check their shipping terms
There is nothing worse than waiting over 3 weeks for something to arrive! Before you purchase something, make sure you check the company shipping terms to your location, or that they even ship to your location. We ship to anywhere in Australia - quite quickly!

5. You don’t check the return or exchange policy
If you don’t make the above mistakes and what you receive still isn’t what you want, or doesn’t fit - you don’t want to be stuck with it. Most company’s will offer a refund or exchange online, but it’s whether it’ll cost you or not so check this before you buy. For example, we offer free exchange or returns within 30 days.
